This beautifully presented hardback volume, complete with photos of the original scores, contains Nielsen's orchestral works from 1887 to 1903, including Suite for Strings Op. 1 and the Helios Overture Op. 17. The Carl Nielsen Edition is an independent project under the auspices of the Music Department of the Royal Library and comprises all Nielsen's finished works and completed individual pieces. Each work is furnished with an introduction which gives a brief account of the genesis of the work.
