This magnificent melody from Wagner's Tannhauser is notoriously difficult to play (as is much of Wagner's music!) but here the parts are simplified (especially the strings) to make it more accessible, although it is still not easy! Although there is a single trombone part scored here, it would be preferable to have 2 or even 3 trombones playing it.
