David Bobrowitz

A Sailor's Journey

For this engaging nautical music journey, the writer has chosen the traditional sea song 'The Drunken Sailor' as a basis for this composition. After a ruggedly rhythmic unison opening statement of this theme, the work unfolds as a fantastic set of variations that explore many unexpected musical directions. One thing that is expected is the energized ending, and Bobrowitz delivers in a big way on this setting, and 'A Sailor's Journey' is bound to leave your audience standing in applause!
