Born in 1928, French composer and teacher, Jean Aubain studied with Olivier Messiaen at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1955, he won the Premier Prix de Rome and his since composed many other prolific works, includingThree Studies for Percussion and Piano.
Composed in 1968, Three Studies for Percussion and Piano is made up of three movements; 1) Variations, 2) Scherzo, and 3) Final.
