The second verse uses rhythmic and harmonic alteration, a short sprinkling of quiet staccato techniques, and two well-placed echoes reflecting the intent of the text. After a transition, the piece culminates in an exciting, symphonic third verse. Six and seven octave choirs will be pleased by the frequent use of their low bass and upper octave bells.
