The traditional American folksong is here set for 3, 4 or 5 octaves of bells. Special performance notes are given for each octave. As one would expect there is a great deal of 'skipping' around, especially in the accompaniment. Traditional harmonies are used, but forays are made into outside harmonies as well. All kinds of special techniques are called for including mart lifts.
