- Kaboom! von Vince Gassi: Zwei Noten ... dann noch zwei. Eine Gegenaussage ... dann noch eine. Ideen entwickeln sich und entwirren sich. Schlagzeug untermalt, Blech rekapituliert, Holzbläser schmücken. Wie eine brennende Zündschnur wird dieses neue Werk Sie faszinieren, entnerven und fesseln und Sie bis zum Ende mitreißen ... und dann ... KABOOM! – Eine Originalkomposition von Vince Gassi. - High Flight von Chris M. Bernotas: Diese aufregende Ouvertüre von Chris M. Bernotas trägt den gleichen Titel wie das Gedicht, das sie inspiriert hat: ›High Flight‹. Das Gedicht von John Gillespie Magee verkörpert den Geist der Erkundung und des freien Tanzes im Himmel. Dieses Stück bietet den Schülern viele musikalische Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen und ist die perfekte Wahl für einen Wettbewerb, die Eröffnung oder den Abschluss eines Konzerts. – Eine Originalkomposition von Chris M. Bernotas. (Grade 3)
- Tha Mi Sgìth (Strathspey and Reel) von Brian Beck: »Tha Mi Sgìth« ist ein gälisches Volkslied über verbotene Liebe. Dieses atemberaubende Arrangement lehnt sich an die Stile von Grainger, Grieg und Holst an, ist aber ganz im Sinne von Brian Beck. Jeder Teil hat erreichbare Herausforderungen, die Ihre Schüler zum Üben motivieren werden. Dieses Werk eignet sich hervorragend zur Eröffnung oder zum Abschluss eines Konzerts. – Eine Originalkomposition von Brian Beck. (Grade 3)
- Scheherazade Selections von Nikolai Rimski-Korsakow: »Scheherazade« ist Rimski-Korsakows erstaunliche musikalische Interpretation der Märchen aus ›Tausendundeiner Nacht‹, die dem Sultan von seiner Frau erzählt wurden, die hingerichtet werden soll. Ihre Geschichten aus ›Tausendundeiner Nacht‹ fesseln den Sultan so sehr, dass er ihr schließlich das Leben lässt. Dieses gekonnte Arrangement verwandelt einige der einprägsamsten Themen des Originalstücks in einen echten Publikumsliebling, der perfekt für jüngere Interpreten ist. Die geheimnisvolle Stimmung des Beginns von Das Meer und Sindbads Schiff gibt den Ton für die folgende magische Musik an. Holzbläser erheben sich zu den lyrischen Melodien von Der junge Prinz und die junge Prinzessin, und die gesamte Band glänzt in der aufregenden Auswahl aus Die Geschichte des Kalendar-Prinzen. »Scheherazade Selections« sind eine gelungene Ergänzung für jedes Konzert. – Ein Arrangement von L.C. - Metrix von Robert Sheldon: Diese mehrtaktige, vom Jazz inspirierte Komposition hat mitreißende Rhythmen und melodische Melodien, die durch die treibenden Percussion-Riffs hervorgehoben werden und die Musik durch eine Vielzahl von Stilen, Stimmungen und Texturen treiben. Der Titel ist ein Wortspiel, das das Wort ›Matrix‹ kombiniert, das sich auf eine mathematische Zahlenreihe bezieht, und ›Metrik‹, das sich auf die Vielfalt der im Stück verwendeten Takte bezieht. – Eine Originalkomposition von Robert Sheldon. (Grade 2,5)
- On a Winter's Night (Featuring: ›Away in a Manger/The First Noel‹): Die beliebten Weihnachtslieder Away in a Manger und The First Noel sind in diesem einzigartig ausdrucksstarken Arrangement von Jared Barnes mit dem Titel »On a Winter's Night« miteinander verwoben. Das Stück beginnt ruhig mit Away in a Manger und nutzt kurze, sich entwickelnde Zwischenspiele, um die Musik allmählich auf den Höhepunkt von The First Noel zu treiben. Sicherlich ein Favorit für Interpreten und Publikum gleichermaßen! – Ein Arrangement von Jared Barnes. (Grade 2,5)
