Alle Noten der Serie 'Jazz Ensemble Library' für Big Band-Enthusiasten
Alle Titel der Jazz Ensemble Library des Hal Leonard-Verlages sind in der Big Band-Standardbesetzung arrangiert (Schwierigkeitsgrad 4).
Diese Serie ist eine sorgsam zusammengestellte Sammlung von Jazz- (Swing-) Standards, einigen Bearbeitungen ›artfremder‹ bekannter Titel aus der Pop-Nische, und sie birgt auch so manche Überraschung.
Zudem sind in einigen Arrangements herausfordernde aber spielbare Soli gefeatured, was Ihre Bandkollegen freuen wird!
Hier sind sechs repräsentative Beispiele aus der ›Jazz Ensemble Library‹-Serie:
- Lullaby Of Birdland von George David Weiss & George Shearing: George Shearings Klassiker aus den 50er Jahren ist hier in einem gemäßigten Latin-Stil arrangiert, der recht nah am Original liegt. Hauptsächlich für das gesamte Ensemble arrangiert, fügt Mark Taylor ein paar Taktwechsel ein, um das Ganze aufzupeppen. Es gibt Soli für Alt, Trompete und Schlagzeug (optional: Flöte).
- In the Mood von Joe Garland: Dieser wunderschöne, klassische Swing-Titel -berühmt geworden durch Glenn Miller- ist ein Favorit vieler Big Bands. Hier liegt Ihnen die Original Edition des Komponisten Joe Garland vor.
- Spain von Chick Corea: Dieses meisterhafte Arrangement aus der Feder von Paul Jennings aus dem Jahr 1982 klingt zeitlos frisch. Die authentischen Klänge des Klassikers von Chick Corea sind originalgetreu eingefangen, und diese neue Ausgabe ist im Cut-Time (statt 4/4) notiert, um die Lesbarkeit zu erleichtern. Ein echtes Juwel für jedes Jazzensemble.
- Stolen Moments von Oliver Nelson: Ein wunderbarer Blues in Moll, dessen Hook sich als Ohrwurm festsetzt und Sie so schnell nicht wieder verlassen wird. Das Arrangement von Paul Jennings featured Trompete, Alt, Tenor und Posaune. Es gibt Ihren Topspielern eine echte Chance, zu glänzen.
- Mr. Lucky von Henry Mancini: Mancinis klassisches Thema wird hier in einem gemäßigten Bossa-Stil behandelt. Zeitlose Melodien, üppige Harmonien und eine Unisono-Linie für das gesamte Ensemble ergeben zusammen ein herausragendes Arrangement aus der Feder von Mark Taylor. Sopransaxophon-Spieler (optional Alt) können hier mit ihrem Solo glänzen!
- The Girl from Ipanema von Antonio Carlos Jobim: Normalerweise im lateinamerikanischen Stil aufgeführt (vergessen Sie für einen Moment die samtene Stimme von Astrud Gilberto), hat Mark Taylor eine wunderbare Bearbeitung dieses beliebten Standards als Medium-Swing-Shuffle geschaffen! Daran ist nichts Entspanntes, denn das gesamte Ensemble öffnet sich in einem Power-Modus und bereitet die Posaunen für den ersten Refrain vor. Es folgen Soli für den Tenor, gefolgt von einer Trompete, dann einem Nebenchor für das Ensemble und einem kurzen Saxophonsolo. Eine neue Herangehensweise an einen vertrauten Favoriten.
