Alle Noten der Serie 'Music For String Orchestra' für junge und ambitionierte Streicher
Die Serie Music For String Orchestra des Verlages Hal Leonard bietet Nachwuchs-Streichorchestern ein großes Repertoire an Klassikern und aktuellen Arrangements und Originalkompositionen aus Klassik, Musical, Film- und Weihnachtsmusik und vielen weiteren Genres. Die Schwierigkeitsstufen liegen dabei zwischen sehr leicht bis mittelschwer – und auch ein paar anspruchsvollere Stücke sind hier zu finden.
Hier sind sieben repräsentative Beispiele aus der Serie ›Music For String Orchestra‹:
- Witch's Fiddle von Robert Buckley Farlee: Die ›Hexengeige‹ ist ein großartiges Schaustück, mit dem Ihre Schüler viele der großartigen musikalischen Effekte genießen können, die nur mit Streichinstrumenten erzielt werden können. Ein entzückender, leicht unheimlicher Klang in einer tanzähnlichen Bewegung macht es zu einem köstlichen Stück für Halloween-Programme. Eine Originalkomposition des Hal Leonard-Arrangeurs Robert Buckley Farlee – (Grade 1)
- Träumerei (Nr. 7 aus den ›Kinderszenen‹) von Robert Schumann: Hier ist ein kurzer, lyrischer Satz, der reich an einprägsamer Melodie und wichtigen, bewegenden Zeilen in den inneren Teilen ist. Dieses Arrangement von Robert Longfield ist außerdem mit musikalischen Nuancen detailliert, die reichlich Gelegenheit bieten, ausdrucksstarkes Spielen in einem Ensemble zu lehren. – (Grade 2)
- Scarf Dance (aus ›Callirhoe‹) von Cécile Chaminade: Robert Longfield präsentiert uns diesen wunderbaren Tanzsatz im 3/4-Takt mit zahlreichen Lehrmomenten. Taktübergreifende Synkopierung, einfache Chromatik und dynamische Kontraste machen dieses Stück ideal, um angehenden Streichern wichtige musikalische Konzepte näherzubringen. – (Grade 2,5)
- A Prayer for Peace (Avner's Theme from ›Munich‹) von John Williams: Eine ergreifend schöne Melodie wird zum dramatischen Mittelpunkt dieses kraftvollen Streicherwerks des Meisters der Filmmusik, John Williams. Wieder einmal schuf die brillante Komposition eine emotionale und einfühlsame Kulisse für den Film, wirkt aber auch bei einer Aufführung im Konzert genauso wirkungsvoll. – (Grade 3)
- Highlights from ›Peer Gynt‹ von Edvard Grieg: Diese Kombination von Stücken aus beiden Suiten bietet eine einzigartige Mischung aus bekannter und neuer Musik des norwegischen Meisterkomponisten. Jamin Hoffmans neue Ausgabe ist gut strukturiert und taktet gut, sodass dieses Meisterwerk zugänglich ist und gleichzeitig endlose Unterrichtsmöglichkeiten bietet. – (Grade 3,5)
- March Past of the Kitchen Utensils (from ›The Wasps‹) von Ralph Vaughan Williams: Dieser raffinierte Satz stammt aus einer Bühnenmusik, die für ein satirisches Bühnenwerk geschrieben wurde. Er entstand zu Beginn von Williams Karriere und spiegelt sein Können im Umgang mit Melodien im Folk-Stil und der Orchestrierung wider, die er durch seine Studien bei Ravel verfeinert hatte. Diese Adaption durch Paul Lavender ist ein wirkungsvolles Bühnenkonzertwerk für reife Streichorchester. (Grade 4)
- Heroic Fanfare von Paul Murtha: Paul Murthas dramatische Fanfare wurde ursprünglich für die gefeierte US-Army-Band Herald Trumpets komponiert und ist eine Hommage an die heldenhaften Männer und Frauen der New Yorker Feuerwehr, die im Jahr 2001 ihr Leben verloren. Eine Originalkomposition des Hal Leonard-Arrangeurs Paul Murtha – (Grade 5)
