Die Young Jazz Ensemble-Serie ist eine Kollektion von Bearbeitungen, die speziell für junge Jazzmusiker und aufstrebende Schul-Big Bands konzipiert wurden. Die Serie bietet eine Vielzahl von Stücken, die perfekt auf die Fähigkeiten und Bedürfnisse junger Musiker, die über das Anfängerniveau bereits hinaus sind, zugeschnitten sind. Die Arrangements bieten eine ausgewogene Mischung aus herausfordernden musikalischen Elementen und zugänglichen Strukturen. Jeder Titel dieser Serie gibt dem Jazz-Nachwuchs die Möglichkeit, die Leidenschaft für Jazz zu bestätigen, zu entwickeln und zu verbessern.
Ein weiterer Vorteil der Serie Young Jazz Ensemble ist ihre Vielfalt an Stilen und Genres. Von Swing über Latin bis hin zu Pop/Rock und Funk bietet die Serie eine breite Palette von Stücken, die das Interesse und die Neugierde junger Musiker wecken. Diese Vielfalt ermöglicht es den Ensembles, ihr Repertoire zu diversifizieren und ihre musikalische Bandbreite zu erweitern.

- The Bare Necessities von Terry Gilkyson: Diese Version des zeitlosen Klassikers aus dem »Dschungelbuch« mit seinem 2-Beat-Swing und der bekannten Melodie ist unmöglich, nicht zu mögen. Darüber hinaus kommt jede Section zum Zuge, erst die Posaunen, gefolgt von Saxophonen und Trompeten. Arrangiert von John Wasson.
- Autumn Leaves von Johnny Mercer & Joseph Kosma: Ihre Schüler:innen werden den sehr eingängigen und aufregenden Salsa-Twist zu diesem zeitlosen Jazzstandard lieben. Mit den rhythmischen Bläsersätzen und den hervorragend ausgearbeiteten Stimmen der Rhythmusgruppe in dieser kubanischen »Son-Montuno«-Version wird Ihre Band absolut authentisch klingen. Arrangiert von Peter Blair.
- Bad Guy von Billie Eilish: Billie Eilish hat die Popmusik mit ihrem Charthit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Sturm erobert. Die Bearbeitung im treibenden Rockstil ist eingängig und bietet interessante Stimmen für alle Spielenden sowie eine optionale Solo-Section. Arrangiert von Roger Holmes.
- I Want You Back von ›The Jackson 5‹: Die Musik der ›Jackson 5‹ ist nach wie vor beliebt. Hier ist einer ihrer größten Hits aus der Motown-Ära in einem funky Arrangement von John Wasson. Geschickt für die gesamte Band bearbeitet.
- All I Want For Christmas Is You von Mariah Carey & Walter Afanasieff: Suchen Sie etwas Neues für ihr Weihnachts-Programm? Dann sind Sie hier genau richtig! Der Mariah Carey Weihnachts-Hit »All I Want For Christmas Is You« aus dem Jahr 1994 ist hier von John Berry wunderbar für Big Band adaptiert. Der Medium Swing wird garantiert alle Zuhörer begeistern.
- Sweet Home Chicago von Robert Johnson: Berühmt geworden durch die ›Blues Brothers‹, wird dieser knallharte Blues-Klassiker mit Sicherheit sofort zum Lieblingsstück Ihrer Band. Roger Holmes' Arrangement zeichnet sich durch einen treibenden Shuffle-Groove und eine solide Besetzung für das gesamte Ensemble aus.
