Noel Gay (1898-1954) was a British composer who found success in the London Music Halls of the 1930s, and is often cited as Britain's answer to Irving Berlin. His collaboration with the songwriter Ralph Butler (1886-1969) led to some of the most memorable popular songs of all time, including Run, Rabbit Run, and The Sun Has Got His Hat On. However, their most successful creation is probably Hey! LittleHen, written in 1941.
