Commissioned by the wind band of Gaurain (B), this piece has been conceived to open a concert in a non-conventional way. The orchestra starts after a drum set solo (ad lib) but without conductor and in the middle of the piece the orchestra make a diminuendo to allow the announcer to speak to the audience and introduce the conductor who then enters. After this the conductor briefly stops the orchestra to resume with three fermati which lead to a grand finale. Try it, it's very efficient and not difficult to organise!!!
