Schlummert Ein' is an aria, the third section from the cantata Ich Habe Genug (BWV 82) ('I Have Enough'). Bach wrote this piece for the Purification of Mary on February 2, 1727. He composed it originally for bass voice, oboe, violins, and basso continuo. Later he added variations for soprano and alto. Willy Hautvast orchestrated this beautiful piece for band.
