This short work was part of a garland of pieces written as a tribute to Justine Peberdy. A member of the executive staff of the Dartington International Summer School, Justine, for family reasons, had found it necessary to resign from her position. It was John Woolrich’s idea that a number of composers at the school write music for her based upon the motto: Eb, Bb, Gb, Ab, Db, Bb, E
