Henry Mancini (1924-1994), the Academy Award winning American composer, conductor and arranger is best remembered as a composer of film and television scores. Mancini also won a record number of Grammy awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. His best-known work is the jazz-idiom theme to The Pink Panther film series, included here as part of Mark Freeh's brass band arrangement together with Moon River, Days of Wine and Roses and The Peter Gunn Theme (now mostly associated with the 1980 classic comedy film The Blues Brothers).
