The first thing that appears in a Sonatas' volume is the thematic index, which reproduces the first bars of all of them. In my Sonata I have tried to reproduce an accumulative scheme of some imaginary sonatas' 'first bars', as a kind of fragmented mosaic made by minimal elements. Composed in Kristiansand (Norway) during Summer 1995, it was premiered by Humberto Quagliatta, at the Hamburg (Germany) Hochschule fur Musik, on October 20th, same year.
